Double G Concrete Construction is a family-owned concrete contractor based in Vernon, and we work right here in town and out across Wilbarger County. Driveways, sidewalks and patios for homes, slabs and foundations for new buildings, pads for shops and barns, and commercial pours.

We run our own site prep and trucking, so the grading, the base, the forms, the steel and the pour all come from the same crew. Nobody is waiting on another company to show up before the concrete can go in.

Vernon sits in the Red River valley, and much of the ground around here is clay that swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries out. A slab poured straight onto that without a properly compacted base will move with it, which is how you get cracks and a driveway that tips toward the garage. Good base prep, the right thickness and control joints in the right places do more for a slab than anything you can see on the surface.

The weather is the other half. Summer afternoons regularly pass 100 degrees, winter brings hard freezes and the occasional ice storm, and spring storms can drop a lot of rain fast. We finish for drainage so water runs off instead of sitting, and give you guidance on curing for the weather your slab went in under.
